I think I finally figured out something that works for me. I hate weighing myself on the scale. Some of the reasons are simply obvious. However, and I must be honest, I knew that making the scale my focus would easily lead to another attempt at losing weight gone down the drain.
Trust when I tell you that I have been through this before. I know me and I have learned how to put myself in the best position possible to win. I may not do all things all the time, but I know how to win.
When I stopped making my weekly weigh-in an issue, I was able to lose that stress and start enjoying my exercise. I learned the importance of counting inches instead of pounds. For some it doesn’t sound like much of a transition, but for the person who has to take that dreaded walk to stand on the scale, its lifetimes away from how we used to think.
